Tale Speeches

**As per your request, I will be available at our Google Meeting link on Thursday, 4/16 @ 1PM.  Last week was a fun meeting!

Hello!
Assignment:
1. Once yo have turned in your final draft, we are going to begin preparing a three paragraph speech.
2. You must include specific detail, don't be general.
3. You must use clear transitions.
4. Each person in the group has to give their own analysis.
5. (I would suggest that each paragraph have a minimal of 12-15 sentences.)

Here is your outline:
Paragraph 1:
A. Motivator
B. Introduce the concept of your story so everyone understands what your are talking about
C. Give brief details on the characters, plot, and conflict in the story.
D. Transition

Paragraph 2:
A. Discuss your modern twists.  (What elements did you include that makes your story relevant in today's society?)
B. Compare/ Contrast how your tale would have been received in previous decades as compared to today's society.
C. Why are your modern twists relevant in today's society.
D. Transition

Paragraph 3:  Conclusion
A. Talk about how you selected your topic.  What social issues did you consider when writing the tale?
B. Was it more difficult or easier to write this story using modern-day issues/ topics?
C. What overall lesson(s) did you want your readers to learn?
D. Your overall analysis of your tale.  (Conclusion)

Please turn your rough paragraphs in by Thursday, 4/16  (I will set a final draft date during the meeting)
We will meet on Thursday 4/16 @ 1 and discuss your rough paragraphs/ speeches
We will discuss presentation options at this time.

FINAL PARAGRAPHS/ SPEECH WILL BE DUE ON THURSDAY, 4/23

I will be available to answer any questions and to talk about the next part of the assignment (Which I will post on Tuesday)

I sent you an invite to My Google classroom, please join if you haven't to date.  It virtually has the same info as on the blog, but I want to use it as an extra way to communicate!
